TRANMERE Rovers' boss Les Parry has made some changes to his squad ahead of tonight's Johnstone's Paint Second Round match against Accrington Stanley.

Joss Labadie and Mustafa Tiryaki will be in the line-up for the Crown Ground fixture, which kicks off at 7.45pm. John Welsh is missing, through suspension.

Also out of action are Andy Robinson and Martin Devaney with hamstring injuries and Mark McChrystal, who has injured his foot.

Rovers earned their place in the second round following a penalty shoot-out victory over Port Vale, after drawing 1-1 at Prenton Park.

Accrington made it through following a 3-2 home win over Carlisle United.

Les Parry announced on Monday that players who haven't so far made the first team will very likely now do so this week.

He said: "We need to give players at first team level a chance to try and re-ignite their seasons; the likes of Joss and Tiriyaki and people like that.

"It isn't a secret that we’re creating a lot of chances but we’re not taking them, not scoring enough goals.

"So if anybody directly or indirectly contributes to us scoring, it puts them in the frame.

"We haven't had anybody who has been played so poorly that they merit being bombed, so the lads have had to patient."

Rovers return to League One action on Saturday taking on top-of-the table Charlton at The Valley.

Looking ahead to the game, Parry said: "I like to get the distance games out of the way early.

"Charlton are on fire at the moment, it's going to be a tough game for us.

"But we tend to raise our game in these circumstances, so let's hope we can on Saturday."
