STAFF at Wirral's dry skiing slope in Bebington are gearing up for a busy winter after Ryanair announced new flights out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport to some top ski resorts throughout Europe.
Two new destinations - Salzburg and Grenoble - have been added to the winter schedule from Liverpool, in addition to new routes to Inverness and Aberdeen from October.
A total of 29 top winter sports destinations are now available with Ryanair, flying from the UK.
Speaking at the ski season launch at Bebington Oval, Elaine Duff from Ryanair, said: "We are delighted to be bringing skiing closer to Merseyside with four ski routes now available for booking. It means that skiing will be much more accessible to more people.
"Our extended range of low fare routes to the slopes is combined with top winter destinations and hotel rates. "Ryanair.com is now the ultimate one-stop shop for all your winter sporting needs."
To mark the announcement of the new flights, skiing instructors at Bebington Oval's dry slope were giving skiing lessons to members of the Merseyside media.
“We would welcome anyone who wants a lesson, both young and old alike and whatever your ability.”

"It's great to have an idea of skiing before you go on to the snow," said ski instructor, Rob Evans. "We would welcome anyone who wants a lesson, both young and old alike and whatever your ability."
