Merseyside Police are appealing for information following an arson attack at Laird Street police station in Birkenhead in the early hours of Wednesday March 2.
The fire, which was a small blaze on the ground floor, broke out at around 1.45am after a window was smashed and an accelerant poured into the building.
No-one was hurt in the fire and no serious damage was caused to the police station, which is still open to the public.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call detectives at Birkenhead CID on 0151 777 2265, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
a 31-year-old man from Birkenhead has been arrested on suspicion of arson and questioned before being released on police bail pending further enquiries.
