Appeal for witnesses to fatal M53 collision
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident at junction three of the M53 last night when a woman on foot was killed.
Officers were called just before 10pm when a 33-year-old woman was hit by several vehicles on the Liverpool bound carriageway of the motorway.
The M53 in that area was closed off while investigations were carried out and officers are working to establish how the woman came to be on the carriageway.
All drivers were stopped at the scene and are assisting police with their enquiries.
