A Wirral author is competing against the likes of Paulo Coelho to become the winner of the Author Blog Awards 2010.
Caroline Smailes, from Little Sutton, has been included in a shortlist of 28 writers, who through their blogs, offer advice and inspiration.
Caroline's blog is an entertaining mixture of inspirational advice to would-be writers and looking glass, charting the nervy up's and down's of being a published writer.
Caroline, facing a 'now or never' moment in 2005 gave up her place and funding on a PhD in Linguistics to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. In just over a month's time, her fourth book Like Bees To Honey hits the bookstores.
Caroline said, "I very much feel like I’m back in the playground, with my head down and that sinking feeling in my tummy, waiting to be picked by the popular guys to join their team, but if you do vote for me, know that I will love you always and ever after."
