THIS could be the best season yet for FC Beehive! They are moving closer to more and more finals, the latest progress coming with a 3-1 win over Admiral in the Trueman Cup.

Hat-trick star Jed Cardin inflicted the damage. Robbie Stewart replied for Admiral.

Houlihan's bounced back after last week's defeat to beat Clipper 8-2, Andy Kelly scoring five, assisted by Alan Sheridan, 2, and Steve Walsh. James Jones replied.

In the Joe Shields Cup, F2 and Great Eastern battled to the end in an epic tie, F2 going through 6-4 with strikes by Gary Cottrell, Steve Cottrell, Pete Sample, Keith Hall and Mark Collingwood.

In Division Three, AC Brookley narrowly missed out on a point with an unlucky 3-2 defeat by Cheshire Yeoman. John Raven and Norman Deacon netted for the losers, Nick Steadman, 2, and Warren Roberts for Yeoman.

North Star are heading for the top with an awesome 8-0 victory over Saunders, Mark Schofield, Gary Hughes, Mark Patterson, Gary Moore, Lee McGetrick and Brian Powell hitting the target.
