THIS is how the waterfront between Birkenhead and Wallasey will look when the Ro Ro Ferry and technology park are completed in time for the millennium.
Merseyside Development Corporation has released this dramatic artist's impression, which includes the new location for the Ro Ro Ferry terminal to be operated by Mersey Docks and Harbour Company.
MDC launched the technology park with John Moores University and developers Easter. There will be units to let on the multi-million pound scheme to regenerate 56 acres of redundant dockland.
Over 2,000 jobs will be created with plans for a leisure village, pubs, restaurant and hotel.
With MDC about to wind up, English Partnerships and Wirral Council will see the scheme through.
Wirral Chamber of Trade and Commerce - based at 12 Quays in Egerton House - welcomes the start of the technology park and announcement that there will be two Ro Ro ferries linking the Mersey to Ireland.
SuperSeaCat - a £20m high speed ferry - starts using the Mersey this month to pioneer a new Dublin service.
