MORE than 1000 women have signed up for this year's Wirral Race For Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.
So far, more than 935 have registered for the 5k race, which will be held in Birkenhead Park on Sunday, July 4, starting at 11am.
And 169 are on the list for the 10k event, which will take place in the same venue at 2pm.
With four months to go until race day, there is still time to register and do your bit to help raise funds for research into the disease.
Helen Wright, co-ordinator of the Wirral Race for Life, said: "This year Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is going to be full of amazing moments for everyone - from lining up at the start, side-by-side with thousands of other women, to reading the inspirational 'back-signs' worn by participants to the fantastic sense of achievement from crossing the finish line.
"Race for Life in Wirral has an unforgettable atmosphere with local women of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness abilities coming together to make a positive difference to the lives of people touched by cancer."
