THE search for this year's Birkenhead Park poet is now underway.
The theme of this year's contest is The World In Birkenhead Park. There are three different categories of entry.
The Acorn category is for young poets, aged under 11.
The Sapling category covers budding poets aged 11-18, while adults over 18 can enter the Oak category.
The deadline for entries is February 28. Poems received up until that date will go on display at the park's Visitor Centre.
To enter, compose your verse and drop it in at the park's Visitor Centre along with your name, address and age.
Winners will be selected by public vote and announced at a ceremony in Birkenhead Park. Selected poems will be published later in the year.
