Aldi puts in planning application for new Wirral store

Aldi has submitted plans for a new neighbourhood food store at the site of the Three Counties Car dealership at Hoylake Road in Moreton.

The proposals, if given the go-ahead, would replace the dealership with a new food store.

An Aldi statement says the store would be a contemporary design to provide a modern addition to the streetscene and includes deep belts of landscaping along the boundaries.

The statement adds: "It has been Aldi’s aim from the outset that the new food store would be a benefit to the wider community.

"To achieve this Aldi carefully reviewed all the feedback it received from its exhibition and made a number of amendments to the proposals before submitting a final application to the council."
