TRANMERE Rovers' 125th anniversary celebrations ended with a 4-1 defeat by visitors Swindon Town on Saturday afternoon.
Chris Shuker scored Rovers' only goal in front of 5,811 spectators at Prenton Park.
Goals from Swindon's Billy Paynter, Anthony McNamee and Simon Ferry earned victory for Danny Wilson's squad.
As a result, Rovers remain in 23rd place on the League One table with 10 points. It is two weeks since their last win, a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Les Parry's beleaguered side takes a break from League One action next Saturday, November 7, for FA Cup first round action against Leyton Orient at Prenton Park, which starts at 3pm.
Their league campaign resumes the following Saturday, November 14, with an away game against fifth on the table Norwich City at the Carrow Road Stadium.
A host of former Rovers players returned to the pitch for a special lap of honour before yesterday's game.
Among them was Chris Malkin. The striker played more than 300 times for the club between 1987 and 1994.
He scored the winning goal in the 1991 play-off final against Bolton Wanderers that gained the club promotion to the old Division Two, which is now the Championship.
