STAFF and students at Weatherhead Media and Arts College are celebrating this year’s GCSE results.
The figures show that 74% of students achieved 5 or more A* - C grades and 100% of students achieved at least one pass at GCSE.

MERCER Camilla 6A* 4A 1B
NELSON Hannah 6A* 3A 1B Distinction BTEC, Performing Arts
BLACKLOCK Rebecca 6A* 5A
GRAHAM Georgia 4A* 7A
BALL Hope 5A* 5A 1B
CLARE Lydia 4A* 6A 1B
JONES Jade 4A* 6A 1B
In addition to GCSE success 30 Year 11 students passed an OCR Advanced Maths qualification – there will be 60 students taking ‘A’ Level Mathematics in the 6th Form.
Many of the school's students sit GCSEs in Year 10 and 43 students achieved A-C in Maths, an impressive 177 achieved A-C in Media.
Headteacher Neil Dyment said: "I am delighted that the students' commitment and hard work have been rewarded with some excellent results.
"The students have been given outstanding support from a team of very dedicated teachers.
"Most of the Year Group have secured places within the Weatherhead Sixth Form and their results will provide an excellent foundation for Advanced Level study."
