POLICE are appealing for information following an assault in Birkenhead on Saturday, August 1.
Officers were called to the Cool Room nightclub on Conway Street at around 2.40pm to reports of a man being assaulted.
It is thought that he was punched once in the face.
A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital where it was discovered he had suffered a fractured jaw in two places, and several dislodged teeth.
There is thought to be one offender, who is described as white, aged 30 - 35yrs, 6ft in tall with dark hair which was shaven.
The man was wearing a t-shirt and spoke with a Liverpool accent. He also claimed to be from Liverpool.
The nightclub was very busy at the time of the attack, so officers are keen to speak to anyone in the club that night who may have witnessed the incident.
