WIRRAL man Stephen Mark Hatton, 33, was sent for Crown Court trial by Wirral Magistrates.

He is charged with bodily harm assault at Wirral and also making threats to kill.

He was bailed to mid-July to face a judge and in the meantime must keep out of Wirral and stay at an address in Skelmersdale.

FOUR young men were denied summary trial when they appeared before District Judge Nick Sanders at Wirral Magistrates Court on a drugs matter.

Kyle Ceesay, 21, of Rudgrave Mews, Wallasey, along with Paul Grimwood, 19, of Claughton Road, John Derek James, 20, of Merritt Avenue, and David John Thomas, 30, of Upper Brassey Street, all Birkenhead, are charged with possession of cannabis street value approximately £1,650 with intent to supply.

They were bailed for committal proceedings on August 24.

A 25-YEAR-OLD man caught shoplifting told police he had lost all his wages on gambling, District Judge Nick Sanders heard at Wirral Magistrates Court.

David Phu of Oakleigh Grove, Wallasey, pleaded guilty to stealing items worth more than £200 from an Asda store where he was seen cutting security tags from items with pliers.

He was detained after a violent struggle. The judge fined him £160.

DISTRICT Judge Nick Sanders at Wirral Magistrates Court declined to deal with a 42-year-old man charged with possession of amphetamine worth nearly £2,000 with intent to supply.

Ernest Stephen Patterson of Highfield Crescent, Rock Ferry, was bailed until August 24 for committal proceedings.

JAQUELINE Sword, 47, of Hopfield Road, Moreton, pleaded not guilty when she appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court charged with assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty.

She was remanded on bail until August 20 for evidence to be called.

TWO teenagers facing harm and other allegations were sent for Crown Court trial by Wirral Magistrates

Thomas Balchin of Price Street, Birkenhead, and Josh Mark Tatomir of Sumner Road, Prenton, both aged 19, were bailed to face a judge on August 20.

They face assault and criminal damage allegations and also similar charges with the added racial aggravation element.

They must keep away from Oxton Road, Birkenhead, and make no approach to three named witnesses.

The magistrates issued a warrant for the arrest of a third man who failed to turn up at court.

A MAN who stole three weeks after losing his job appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court.

Prosecutor Michael Cain told how 40-year-old Michael Christopher Dillon and a woman filled a shopping trolley at Asda and walked out without paying.

They were stopped and Dillon said he would take the rap.

Dillon, of Clarendon Road, Wallasey, pleaded guilty to stealing items worth £195.

District Judge Nick Sanders fined him £60 plus £40 costs.

The woman was given a caution.

FRANCIS Charles Kearney, aged 51, of Ganneys Meadow Road, Woodchurch, elected jury trial when he appeared before District Judge Nick Sanders at Wirral Magistrates Court.

He faced two charges of attempting to sexually touch young girls at a takeaway shop in Hoole Road, Woodchurch.

He was bailed until August 21 for committal proceedings and must not visit the takeaway as a condition of the bail.

CAPTAIN James Peter Jardine, 63, of Comely Bank Road, Wallasey, was fined £100 by Wirral Magistrates.

He pleaded guilty to drink-driving in St Alban's Road, Liscard.

He had to pay £75 costs and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
