A WIRRAL man was slashed across the face with a craft knife while out partying in Liverpool in the early hours of Sunday, say police.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident in the Kingdom Bar, Harrington Street, Liverpool city centre.
Police were called to the bar just before 2am after the 31-year-old from Thingwall was slashed across the face with what is believed to be a craft knife.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
It is believed that the victim was attacked after he had accidentally bumped into the offender in the bar.
The offender is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 8in tall and slightly overweight.
It is thought that he was wearing a dark jacket over a white shirt.
Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene to carry out forensic examinations and detectives are examining CCTV footage.
