A 45-year-old man who died after a car crash on Leasowe Road in the early hours of Thurday morning has been named as Timothy Hannah.
Police said that at about 1am yesterday, his silver BMW 318i was travelling along Leasowe Road towards Leasowe when it left the road, near to the junction of Cross Lane, and collided with a wall.
Mr Hannah, from New Brighton, suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.
An inquest into his death has now been opened and adjourned.
