A MAN wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Birkenhead on Saturday is still at large.
Police are warning the public not to approach Gary Finlay, who they say is "dangerous".
Police received a report of a fight at around 12.45pm in Speedwell Road, Claughton. Graham McKenna, 45, had received fatal stab wounds and his son, Michael, 14, had also been injured.
The teenager is being treated in hospital where his condition is described as "serious but stable."
A police spokeswoman said that at this stage of the investigation it is believed that Mr McKenna and his son had been walking towards a bus stop on Upton Road.
Mr McKenna, who is understood to have been in the Army, was attacked in Upton Road and was found collapsed in Speedwell Road. Both were attacked with a knife and received stab wounds to the abdomen.
It is thought that the attacker then got into a Honda car and drove towards Bidston Hill. The car has since been recovered.
Inquiries have led police to believe that this was a "domestic and targeted" incident.
If anyone sees Gary Finlay, or knows his whereabouts, they should contact their nearest police station or telephone officers at the incident room on 0151 777 2263.
