A VAN containing stolen charity clothing has been seized and the uninsured driver arrested by officers.
Response Officers from St Helen's Police Station just after midnight this morning, Tuesday, May 7, located a suspicious van in the car park of Morrisons, Boundary Road, St Helens.
Checks revealed the vehicle had links to theft from charity clothing deposits and the driver - a 39-year-old man from Wigan - was also not insured.
The driver has been arrested on suspicion of theft and vehicle document offences and the van has been seized for being used in crime.
He remains in custody.
