TWO drivers escaped serious injury after a spectacular crash on the M53 today.
Junction five of the north bound carriageway was closed when a Leyland Daf skip lorry overturned after it collided with a black Volvo 4x4.
An empty oil tanker was also involved in the incident, which happened around 11am.
The driver of the Volvo, whose car narrowly missed being thrown into oncoming traffic of the south bound carriageway, was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries and shock.
No-one else was hurt.
