Council works on coastal defence plan

WIRRAL Council is working in partnership with other regional councils to create a shoreline management plan which will provide a coastal defence policy for the coast stretching from North Wales to the Scottish border.

Wirral, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conway and Sefton are to create a plan for the North Wales/Merseyside coast, which will then link up with plans created for Blackpool's Fylde coast, Morecambe Bay and the Cumbrian coast.

Wirral will be consulting with local groups and individuals who enjoy and use the coast, to ensure their views are taken into account in the creation of the plan.

As with other parts of the coast the shoreline management plan needs to take account of rising sea levels and increased storminess which are predicted effects of climate change.

John, Wirral; I suspect that "English and Proud" was being a tad tongue in cheek. Suggest you fish your Y-fronts out of your crevice and relax a little.

As for rising sea levels, this is another convenient (for the Ecostasi) prediction that manifestly hasn't happened.

Wooooa! John,Wirral was spot on! Are we supposed to "know" the correct spelling of EVERY LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD! Your a load of self rightous t*ssers! It takes a lifetime to learn proper English. Conwy should of been slept correctly as it isint a million miles away from here !!Although you have 2 remember r Colledge is called Conway so this is most prob the reason way!!! After all we are all on the same little Island so should help eachother not insult eachother!!!!!!!!!!!

Also i think its abouttime they did a better sea defence for the places named above....
