WIRRAL has been awarded funding to create hundreds of new youth volunteering opportunities as part of a new national programme called vinvolved.
The initiative is aimed at getting young people positively involved in their communities.
“This is a great opportunity for us to all get behind young people and help to show them in a positive light.”

The £300,000 funding, to be invested over three years starting next April, was unveiled this week by the youth volunteering charity.
The v scheme will be using the money to create a network of youth experts on the ground who will encourage more community organisations to open their doors to young volunteers.
It has been designed by and for young people to make volunteering a compelling choice for all 16 to 25 year olds by tapping into their passions and concerns.
A total of £75m has been invested in the programme, with just over £33m funding 152 projects to deliver innovative, youth-led volunteering opportunities across England.
It will be supported by v's youth website, vinspired.com - a website portal signposting young people to volunteering opportunities, and the charity's ongoing awareness-raising marketing campaign.
For the first time ever, there will be teams of young ambassadors championing volunteering at a local level and advising a network of people and projects focused on engaging young volunteers.
George Thomas, member of the Wirral Voluntary and Community Sectors Network, said: "This is a great opportunity for us to all get behind young people and help to show them in a positive light."
