Man punched his wife after wedding party

A BIRKENHEAD man alleged to have punched his wife during a row after they attended a wedding party faced Wirral Magistrates.
John Edward Woods, 37, of Quigley Street, Birkenhead, admitted common assault on Tracey Woods at Holt Hill Terrace, Birkenhead, and also possession of cocaine found in his pocket.
Magistrates made a 12-month supervision order and ordered Woods to serve 100 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay £150 compensation to the complainant and £80 court costs.
