TWO inseparable dogs are looking for a family to look after them in their old age.

Gypsy and Bonnie, both aged 10-years-old, have lived together for the last six years but have now found themselves looking for a new home.

Currently at Dogs Trust Merseyside, these older age pooches (OAPs) are now looking for a new home but would hate to be split up.

Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside Georgina Lowery said: “They are a lovely pair and if you see one, the other is never far behind.

"Bonnie had a very difficult start to life as she had several homes as a young dog but she has definitely found her paws living alongside Gypsy.

“Unfortunately they have come to us following a change in their family’s circumstances.

"Understandably they are both quite timid at the moment as they have been through so much change so it would be great if we could find them a new home really soon.”

Border Collie Cross Gypsy likes to take her time to get to know new people but the way to her heart is foodie treats which will be a great way for new owners to teach this clever older dog a few new tricks.

Crossbreed Bonnie is very playful and loves to be around people so she would suit a household with a few two-legged friends.

They both can live with children aged 12 and over but would like their new family to be around a lot of the time.

Georgina added: “We are certain that once they have had the chance to settle in their new home they will make lovely companions for a lucky owner.

"They are happiest when they are together so we would love to find them a home where they can spend their twilight years whiling away the hours in the company of a new family and snoozing on the sofa.”
