DETECTIVES have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after an online scam left victims losing £25,000.
Merseyside Police received reports that between November 2017 and January 2018, a number of victims were defrauded of more than £25,000 through online scams involving fake sales for goods.
Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and locate those responsible.
Inspector Susan Stribling said: “We are particularly keen to trace the man pictured as we believe he may have information vital to our investigation and I would urge him, or anyone who recognises him to please come forward.
“Unfortunately we've seen individual lose thousands of pounds after falling for these scams and I would like to remind members of the public to be extra vigilant online."
