A MAN has been taken to hospital following a 'concern for safety' in Irby.
Emergency services were called at around 8.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 8) to Thingwall Road, nearby Harrock Wood following a concern for the safety of a man.
A police helicopter was deployed in the area to help with the search.
At around 10pm, officers found the man on Station Road in Thurstaston.
He was detained under the mental health act and has been taken to hospital for assessment.
