A GROUP of volunteers have been busy making blankets for fostered cats in Wirral.

Age UK Wirral's crochet group have been practicing their crochet and design skills on blankets for the felines who are fostered by Cats Protection North Wirral volunteers.

The blankets are given to a cat which is being fostered so that it will travel with them with a familiar smell.

Co-ordinator for Cats Protection North Wirral Steve Riches said: "We are most grateful to the members of Age UK’s Crochet Group for these lovely blankets.

"In future our cats will be going to their new homes with very smart bedding!"

Anyone with spare wool is asked to donate this at Age UK Wirral at 304 Spital Road, Bromborough.
