Organised by Underground Training Station Gym in Hoylake it takes place on Sunday, September 16.

Funds raised will go to the facility’s foundation.

HUGH Stewart will give a talk entitled The Natural Beauty of Costa Rica as Wirral Bird Club's guest when it meets this Thursday (July 26).

Art on prom

WALLASEY Arts Society will be displaying its artwork for sale on the railings of New Brighton Prom outside Vale Park on every Sunday in August from 1-4pm, weather permitting.

Summer fair

A SUMMER Fair will be held at Highfield Church in Rock Lane West, Rock Ferry, this Saturday from 1-3pm.

It promises all the fun of the fete with face painting, 'Hook-a-Duck', Skittles, Tin Can Alley and a tombola. There will also be hot dogs, refreshments and a Bric-a-Brac Stall. All Welcome.

THE Claremount Roundabouts group is holding a Sandwich and Cake lunch next month.

Film time

HOYLAKE Community Cinema will screen French crime drama Dheepan this Friday.

The film, which has a '15' certificate, is about three Tamil refugees who flee the civil war-ravaged Sri Lanka and come to France, in the hope of reconstructing their lives, only to find themselves in a different kind of conflict zone.

Directed by Jacques Audiard, it won the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Friday's screening will take place at Hoylake Parade Community Centre in Hoyle Road, Hoylake at 7.30pm.
