A PENSIONER has died following a crash on the M6.
Emergency services were called to the M6 southbound at junction 21, Woolston following reports of a collision between a blue Ford Focus C-Max and a black Ford Transit van at around 1.15pm on Wednesday, July 16.
Unfortunately, the driver of the C-Max an 82-year-old man from Ellesmere Port, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the van was uninjured and no arrests have been made.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or anyone who may have any dashcam footage of the incident.
