A SHY puppy is looking for one of the globe's golden-hearted readers to give him a forever home.

Milo, a 10-month-old shar pei is lacking some confidence after being left at Dogs Trust Merseyside.

He is desperate to build a bond with a loving family and can live with children aged 16 or over.

A spokeswoman from Dogs Trust said: "Milo is only very young, but he is rather insecure so is nervous.

"Therefore he will benefit from finding a home with an experienced, patient family to adopt him.

Wirral Globe:

"He isn't quite sure what to do with himself at times, but does seem happier when he has another dog nearby.

"Milo absolutely loves his treats and this is a great way to build a bond with him and raise his confidence.

"He loves to play with his toys and chase after them.

Milo would flourish with someone who has experience of Shar Peis.

"He enjoys the company of other dogs, but the livelier ones do worry him so he would prefer to be around quieter dogs.

"He can live with children aged 16 and over, and due to his tender age will need someone there for most of the day."
