DRIVERS are being urged to avoid Telegraph Road after another fire has broken out on Thurstaston Hill.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 3.50pm after reports of a fire nearby on the hill.
On arrival firefighters discovered a large amount of bush and gorse well alight.
Two fire engines are currently at the scene and one main jet is being used to extinguish the flames.
Smoke has also been spotted billowing across Irby and Caldy.
A reader told us that she could feel the heat from the fire as she drove past the scene near to the Thurstaston Common car park.
As smoke is causing poor visibility on a nearby road, drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
Police traffic management are also at the scene.
On Saturday, July 8 Merseyside Police had to close Telegraph Road at the junction of Montgomery Hill and Station Road for six hours while firefighters tackled another 'serious' blaze on the hill.
