ROAD closures were in place after a serious grass fire in Thurstaston.
Emergency services were called to Thurstaston Common at around 2.30pm on Saturday, July 7 following reports of a grass fire.
Merseyside Police closed Telegraph Road at the junction of Montgomery Hill and Station Road due to the 'serious' fire until 8pm.
Residents and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
