A FASHION store is set to open in Moreton at the end of July, creating 16 local jobs.

Newlife, which has six stores in the Midlands, sells ex-high street clothes, shoes and accessories for women, men and children, will open its new branch in Hoylake Road.

The firm is partnered with over two hundred high-street retailers and manufacturers, managing excess products – clothing, footwear and accessories.

Harjinder Samra, Newlife's head of retail said: "Moreton will be our first retail store in the North, and promises to draw customers in from across the Wirral and beyond, providing a boost for the local business community.

"Our superstore in the Midlands brings shoppers in from tens of miles away and we’re hoping to build the same reputation here in the Wirral.

"We've had an amazing response from the local community to the vacancies advertised, and are really looking forward to opening the store at the end of July.

"Newlife is a unique breed of organisation; partnering with major companies and supporting them to deliver both environmental and social benefits."

Nina Barnes, manager of the Moreton store, which will be situated in added: "Newlife is a retailer with a twist.

"The twist is Newlife is a social enterprise. Instead of the profits going to owners and shareholders, they are ploughed directly into supporting Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children which helps children and families across the UK, including the Wirral, Merseyside and beyond.

"Newlife is definitely NOT a 'charity shop' though. All of our products come directly from major company's stores and warehouses, not from individuals."
