THE FAMILY of a 32-year-old dad who died after a crash in Eastham have paid tribute to their "rock and hero."

Motorcyclist Brad Taylor was involved in a collision with a car on Ferry Road on Saturday, June 16.

Paramedics treated Mr Taylor at the scene but he sadly passed away.

Brad’s partner Sabina, mum to their three children Paddy, Lilly and Daisy said: “We are broken and devastated beyond words, Brad was our rock and our hero.

"We love him so much and our family are heartbroken by his tragic death.

“He loved us completely and I was so lucky to have him as ‘my love’.

"He was a devoted Dad, besotted with little Daisy and our family of five was all that we wanted together.

"He was funny without even realising it and made us giggle with his humour. Our family time was everything to us; our walks, bike rides, picnics, holidays and fishing.

"He was the heart of our house and the protector of everyone."

His family continued: “His Nan and Grandad ‘Thel and Norm’ were so very proud of what a truly loving dad and fantastic young man Brad had grown up to become, they said ‘he was more like a son than a Grandson’ and they’ve treasured him with all of their hearts.

"Brad lost his Grandad last year and found it very hard losing him as he’d played such a big part of his life when he was growing up.

“Growing up with Norm meant he had the best buddy to learn golf from and he became brilliant at the game.

"He was chosen to compete for Sky Sports Young Star of the year and competed in many youth competitions, always accompanied by his passionately proud Grandad. Continuing the love of the game Brad became a member at Brakenwood Golf Club, Bebington.

“Brad loved his sport and fitness and when he tried his hand at boxing he found his next talent and thrived on the challenge, he succeeded in winning a title belt. Known as ‘Brad the Bomber’, his boxing tribe were great mates.

"Both his work colleagues from Jaguar and friends would come to watch him fight and were all due to watch him fight on the night of the incident last Saturday.

“Younger sister Kayleigh and brother Ryan are shocked and heartbroken, he had a special brother/sister bond with Kayleigh and she was his go to girl if he had anything he needed to talk about. Always the protector and looking out for them both, a champ of a brother.

“Brad was the first born to Jacqui and they had that very close mum and son bond, she was immensely proud when she found out that Brad and Sabina were having a baby.

"We take comfort in the fact that Brad and Jacqui will be reunited up there.

“His Auntie Bev, Uncle John, Andy, Tracy, Niall and all cousins are utterly devastated with the tragic loss of our beloved Brad. He’ll be sadly missed. Bev said ‘he’s one of my babes and I’m trying hard to get the family through this so very sad and difficult time’.

“To all of those who have come forward with such kind messages of support over the past couple of days, we wish to express our most sincere of thanks. We have been overwhelmed by the love that has been conveyed. It means the world to us.”

The family will announce the funeral details in the coming weeks.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
