GLOBE readers are being invited to buy a specially-designed artificial red rose in support of Wirral Hospice St John's Summer Memories campaign.

This summer, the flowers will fill wheelbarrows in the hospice gardens.

Proceeds will help fund the specialist care to both hospice patients and their loved ones at the hospice.

Each flower is made from high quality materials to withstand the British weather and will come with a small tag on which a message can be written.

Julia Evans, hospice fundraising manager, told the Globe: “Summer Memories is now in it’s third year and has been a great success.

"Our supporters have now started a collection of these flowers with last year’s sunflower and forget me not.

"We still have stocks of these flowers so they are available to order to brighten up your garden at home”.

To buy a sunflower, £5 each, call the fundraising Office on 0151 343 0778 or visit the website www.wirralhospice.org

Flowers can also be collected from the fundraising office or posted out directly.

Summer memories has been kindly sponsored by two local businesses Waterworld and City Centre Commercial Waste Ltd.
