THIS much-loved show is a law unto itself ...

Legally Blonde will take no prisoners when it arrives for a week's run at the Liverpool Empire tomorrow.

And two of the very strong touring cast are famous stars from the UK's top soaps.

There is also a couple of cute canines in Bruiser and Rufus.

The West End and Broadway smash hit musical show is based on the movie of the same name and is now on a major UK tour.

It certainly appeals to both sexes with a funny script and some cracking songs including the sassy title number.

It's all about the college girl and home-coming queen Elle - a popular and beautiful girl with a overpowering fashion sense.

Elle is always pink eyed and bushy-tailed coasting along in life until ... that is, until her boyfriend Walter Huntingdon the third makes her see red and dumps her for a more serious girlfriend.

So Elle has a major re-think about her life.

Out go her credit cards and in come the study books.

With her own trusty pet pooch a Chihuahua called Bruiser she manages to get into the world famous Harvard Law School to try and win back her man.

EastEnders star Rita Simons plays salon owner Paulette Bonafonte.

Rita is best known as Roxy Mitchell in the soap, winning critical acclaim opposite Samantha Womack.

And Emmerdale star Bill Ward, who plays Professor Callahan, has played Ross Barton in more than 300 episodes.

And add to that his CV shows another 300 episodes as Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street.

Multi-talented star of stage and screen Lucie Jones is Elle.

Lucie was an X Factor finalist in 2009.

Every time Legally Blonde comes to the Empire Liverpool audiences lap up fun and frolics and the upbeat tale.

An Empire spokesman told the Globe: "The musical is based on the 2001 Reese Witherspoon film and earned seven Tony Awards and three Olivier Awards.

"It is an all-singing, all-dancing,witty romantic comedy. A popular fun-filled, feel-good pink fest.

"And there is a moral in the show ...

"Being true to yourself never goes out of style."

And there's a surprise at the end, too, that will keep the audience 'in the pink.'

Legally Blonde the Musical is at the Liverpool Empire from tomorrow, Tuesday June 5 to Saturday, June 9.
