FLORAL tributes have been paid to a ‘beautiful angel’ who died after being struck by a car in Birkenhead.

Charlotte Carroll, 19, from West Kirby, was involved in a collision with a black Honda Civic car on Conway Street just before 12am on Saturday, May 19.

Charlotte was taken to hospital by paramedics but later died as a result of her injuries.

Among them was a card from Jessie, which read: “I will always love you with all my heart.

“Thank you so much for being the perfect best friend.

“Fly high you beautiful angel, until I see you again.

“All my love, Jessie xxxxxxxxx”

Another read: “To Charlotte, love and miss you so much.

“Rest in peace until we see each other again, the only girl that matters to me.”

Another read: “Goodnight Charlotte, beautiful girl. Love you always.”

In a statement earlier this week, Charlotte's paid tribute to their 'beautiful daughter.'

They said: "In memory of our beautiful daughter, sister, girlfriend and friend who was tragically taken away from us, you will be loved always and forever missed.

“We do ask for privacy during this extremely difficult time.

"However, those wishing to place a tribute at the scene are more than welcome to do so.”

The driver of the car was uninjured and is helping officers with their enquiries.
