A WIRRAL motorist who left an elderly pedestrian seriously injured after losing control of his car has admitted his guilt.
Sean Pue's Vauxhall Corsa collided with 78-year-old Kenneth Thompson on the morning of October 30 last year on the pavement in Greenway Road, Tranmere.
Pue, of Poulton Road, Seacombe, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving; driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop after an accident.
Pue, 47, who was three micrograms over the legal drink driving limit, left the pensioner with a broken left kneecap as well as cuts and bruises.
He has been further remanded on bail by a Liverpool Crown Court judge until May 10 to enable an up-to-date medical report and a victim impact report to be prepared.
Judge Clement Goldstone, QC, imposed an interim driving ban with immediate affect.
