A MAN has died following a serious crash on M53 in Ellesmere Port
Emergency services were called to M53 northbound near to junction 9 following reports of a collision involving two large goods vehicles and a black Peugeot 307 car at around 5.50am today (Thursday).
The driver of the car, a 29-year-old man from Ellesmere Port, was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with serious injuries but sadly died a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specialist officers.
Two men were arrested at the scene and are currently in police custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 46513.
