BOMB disposal officers were called after a hand-grenade was discovered at a home in Ellesmere Port.
Cheshire Police and bomb disposal teams were called to a property in Sutton Way earlier today (Wednesday)
After examination the hand grenade was determined to be inactive.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “EOD (bomb disposal) has been in attendance at an address near Sutton Way, Ellesmere Port, following the discovery of an old hand grenade.
“We'd like to reassure residents that the grenade has been examined and EOD have confirmed it’s inert and there is no need for any concern.”
