CHESHIRE search and rescue teams are helping police trace a vulnerable Wirral pensioner who has been missing since Tuesday.

Jean Lloyd, 77, was last seen on Tuesday, April 17 at around 1.10pm at a bus stop near her home in Thornton Hough.

Officers from both Merseyside and Cheshire Police are urgently appealing for information as they are growing 'increasingly concerned' for her wellbeing.

On Twitter, volunteers from the Cheshire Search and Rescue Team said: "Team members are back on the ground assisting Cheshire Police trying to locate Jean Lloyd who was last seen on Tuesday at 1.10pm.

"We are assisted again by our friends and colleagues."

Jean is white, around 5ft of medium build with short, well-groomed hair and wears glasses.

At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a purple jacket, cream jumper, black trousers, flat back shoes and a dark black/brown handbag with long straps.

Inspector Darryl Jones from Cheshire Police said: “Extensive enquiries to local Jean are currently ongoing and we are increasingly concerned for her wellbeing. 

“Jean resides in the Thornton Hough area but she is also known to have links to the Neston area.

"I would urge anyone who has seen or spoken to her since she disappeared to contact police on 101.”
