I RECEIVED my annual Council Tax bill showing the six per cent increase.
Included in the bill was a letter from council leader Phil Davies.
He states that he will continue to 'protect the vulnerable, support local businesses, create new jobs and improve the quality of life its residents enjoy'.
I think not, Cllr Davies.
We have had closing of facilities for the vulnerable over the past few years, the recent introduction of car parking charges in our country parks and along our promenades, affecting adversely the quality of life of residents of Wirral, with a knock-on effect for local businesses and a further knock on effect on jobs if these businesses find they are struggling.
Then we have the proposed introduction of the bins to clutter our houses/gardens and failure by his administration to produce a plan, unlike almost every other council, to protect our Green Belt.
Where, leader of Wirral Council, are you hoping to 'protect the vulnerable, support local businesses, create new jobs and improve the quality of life its residents enjoy'?
I can't quite see it myself.
Margaret Kalil, Caldy
