AN exhibition aiming to ‘normalise’ mental health will take place throughout March and April to celebrate the launch of new social enterprise The Mind Map.

Going Through The Emotions will bring together 11 artists including Jamie Reid and Billy Childish to present visual representations of mental health at Unit 51, in Liverpool.

The Mind Map will present the exhibition after launching its website to help youngsters access wellbeing advice and signposting to mental health services.

It will also provide media workshops, starting with a six-week media programme to the Merseyside Youth Association’s mental health.

Founder Phil Bridges said: “I have spent the past year developing The Mind Map with clinical input from NHS Liverpool CCG and Mersey Care and young people at Merseyside Youth Association.

"The result is an online wellbeing resource I’d liked to have given to my younger self.”

The Mind Map is also working on a research project with Liverpool John Moores University into the experiences of mental health support currently available to students.
