A WALKING festival will showcase Wirral's coast and countryside this May.
The Wirral Walking Festival 2018 is back bigger than ever with more walks, events and visits.
There will be in-depth looks behind the stories of some of the borough’s famous garden villages such as Bromborough Pool and Port Sunlight plus a chance to explore the origins of areas such as Oxton and The Arno.
Walk leaders will be looking at Wirral success stories such as the Riverside Park at Port Sunlight which was transformed from a landfill site to woodlands and wetlands.
Wirral’s Cabinet Member for parks cllr Phil Brightmore said: "Wirral Walking Festival has gone from strength to strength.
"It gives local people and visitors the opportunity to see parts of the borough they might not have visited before and the chance to showcase some old favourites.
"Whether you’re a seasoned walker, or you’re yet to discover our fantastic network of footpaths, this is a chance to get walking."
