A MAN and woman have been charged after two cars were stolen in Claughton.
Merseyside Police received reports that a BMW and Vauxhall Agila had been stolen from a property on Bidston Avenue between 10.45am on Friday, March 9 and 7am on Saturday, March 10.
The BMW was later found on Breck Close in Birkenhead.
Patrols then spotted and chased the Agila before it crashed into a parked car on Brill Street, Birkenhead.
A female passenger was arrested at the scene and a man was found in gardens 30 minutes later.
30-year-old Matthew Gill of Manor Road, Liscard was arrested and has been charged with burglary dwelling, fraud, driving whilst disqualified, theft of a motor vehicle x 2 and driving without insurance.
27-year-old Roxanne Gorman from Laird Street, Birkenhead was arrested and has been charged with burglary dwelling, theft of a motor vehicle x 2 and fraud.
They will both appear this morning (Monday, March 12) at Wirral Adult Remand Court.
