POLICE officers and motorists came to the rescue of two horses after they wandered into the road.
The alarm was raised around 10pm last night, Saturday, on Upton Road after drivers spotted the two horses heading towards junction 2A of the M53.
Officers thanked members of the public for their help getting the horses to safety.
There was no horsing around in #Moreton earlier! @MerPolWallasey, @NWmwaypolice and @HighwaysNWEST (helped by some very kind members of the public) working together to stop these two horses from wandering onto the M53. Now safely in a stable for the night pic.twitter.com/sikNRZGXSe
