A NUMBER of traffic lights are out across Liverpool City Centre after a power surge.
Liverpool City Council say that it may take several hours to restore the lights.
Roads affected include Queens Drive, Green Lane, Hanover Street, Mather Avenue, Duke Street and Grove Street.
Merseyside Polivce have warned motorists to take care and drive safe due to the power surge.
A Liverpool City Council spokesman said: “A number of traffic lights are out across the city following a power surge. Engineers are currently investigating and we expect to have an update at 5pm.
"It is likely that it will take several hours to restore all the traffic lights but we are working as fast as possible to restore them and are prioritising key routes first.”
