TWO Wirral biker groups have joined forces to donate tonnes of food to Charles Thompson Mission and Birkenhead Kennels.

Outlaws MC Merseyside wanted to give something back to the local community and asked whether fellow group Wirral Harley Davidson Riders would help in collecting donations.

Before Christmas, the two groups visited the organisations to deliver the food.

Ozy Ray from the Wirral Harley Davidson Riders told the Globe: "All our members have been collecting for months.

"It took up to 40 minutes to load up the van to take the donations to Charles Thompson and Birkenhead Kennels.

"We're all Wirral based and all have been or know people who have fallen on hard times and I think delivering this food is a chance for us to give something back to the community.

"The pets at the kennels need more help so we thought if everyone gave a little we could help make a big difference."
