FIVE people were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs after police raided a house in Birkenhead.
Officers carried out a search of the address in Old Bidston Road at around 6.30pm.
It led to the arrests of a 57-year-old man from Liscard, a 56-year-old woman from Birkenhead, a 45-year-old man from Birkenhead, a 39-year-old man from Birkenhead and a 53-year-old man from Birkenhead on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
Quantities of suspected cocaine and heroin were found, along with mobile phones.
All five have been taken to a police station for questioning.
Local targeting police inspector Chris Lucan-Pratt said: "We believe that these drugs would have been destined for the streets of Merseyside, bringing significant risk and harm to the wider community.
"Merseyside Police is committed to tackling the supply of drugs and we will continue to be proactive in acting on all information provided."
