FIREFIGHTERS assisted safety officers after a small gas leak at a home in Prenton.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to a property on Moss Lane at around 4.45pm on Monday, December 11 to investigate a smell of gas.
One fire engine attended the incident and crews notified gas distribution company Cadent.
Officers from Cadent also attended and discovered a small leak on a gas hob using gas detection equipment.
Firefighters assisted Cadent by pulling out the gas cooker so the supply could be capped.
Crews gave information to the homeowner about fire and gas safety and remained at the incident for around one hour.
