A BATCH of peanuts were destroyed after a fire at a food manufacturer in Bromborough.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service received calls at around 12.32pm on Saturday, December 2 of reports of a fire involving an industrial burner on Georgia Avenue.
Four fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the flames.
Firefighters then ventilated the area and used a thermal imaging camera to check for areas of heat.
No-one was injured.
Crews remained at the scene for around two hours and 20 minutes.
